BMW XM Label launched in India at Rs. 3.15 crore, only 1 car will be available for sale

BMW has launched the XM label high-performance SUV in India at Rs. 3.15 crore (ex-showroom). The XM is an even more performance-focused special edition of the plug-in hybrid, limited to just 500 cars globally, with just 1 car destined for the Indian market.

In terms of design, the XM label stands out from the standard model with its red exterior highlights. Toronto Red inserts can be found around the grille, around the side glass house and on the rear diffusor. Even the brake calipers are painted red. The BMW Individual coming to India is finished in Frozen Carbon Black Metallic and comes with 22-inch M light alloy wheels.

The cabin is offered in sporty red and black colours. The cabin features red and black upholstery, the upper portion of the seats is finished in red, while the lower portion has red contrast stitching. Red highlights are visible on other parts of the cabin such as the doors, dashboard and centre console. The XM label will also feature a unique “1 of 500” badge below the central touchscreen.

Talking about the features, the XM label kit includes adaptive LED headlamps, six-colour ambient lighting, soft close function for all doors, a powered tailgate, 4-zone climate control, M sports seats with electric adjust, massage, memory function, heated and cooled front seats, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 14.9-inch touchscreen, head-up display, 1475W Bowers & Wilkins 3D sound system, hands-free parking function and more.

However, the main highlight of the XM label is the powertrain. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain is tuned to produce 737 bhp of power and 1000 Nm of peak torque, allowing the XM label to accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.8 seconds. Top speed for the XM label is 290 kmph with the M Driver’s Package – up from the 250 kmph offered as standard.

The hybrid powertrain uses an underfloor 25.7 kWh battery that enables the SUV to drive up to 82 km in EV mode. A wallbox charger along with installation is included in the price.
