BYD eMAX 7 electric MPV to be launched in India on October 8
BYD is all set to launch the all-electric eMAX 7 MPV in the Indian market on October 8. The eMAX 7 is essentially a new variant of the e6 MPV, which was BYD’s first offering in India and has been on sale here for almost three years. With the facelift, the MPV will get a refreshed design and several new features.

Visually, the eMAX 7 MPV will retain the same basic profile and proportions as the current e6 but will get noticeable changes to the face and rear, giving the old e6 a new lease of life. While the headlamp shape of the eMAX 7 is similar to the e6, the interiors have been revised and now feature new light elements. Other changes to the front include a new bumper, a redesigned air dam and a chrome-finished grille. At the rear, the eMAX 7 gets new tail lamps connected by a thin light bar and a new rear bumper.
The eMAX 7 is expected to get a large touchscreen and a panoramic sunroof
Talking about the cabin, the eMAX 7 is expected to retain the same design as the BYD e6. However, it is expected to get some new features, such as a larger touchscreen and a panoramic sunroof similar to the BYD M6, which is called the eMAX 7 in some markets. Also, the eMAX 7 will have three-row seating compared to the e6, and is expected to be offered in both 6-seat and 7-seat variants.
Expected to be equipped with the same 71.8 kWh battery pack
Like the e6, the eMAX 7 is likely to be offered with a 71.8 kWh battery pack that offers a range of up to 520 km in the current model. However, BYD has said that the new eMAX 7 will offer better performance than its previous model. The M6 produces 201 bhp and 310 Nm of peak torque, similar to the Atto 3, which could be offered in the India-spec eMAX 7.
