Revised Triumph Speed 400 launched in India, priced at Rs 2.40 lakh
Triumph has launched a revised model of the Speed 400 motorcycle in the Indian market. With the changes, the motorcycle gets new colours and several other changes compared to its previous model. The new variant of the motorcycle is priced at Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom), which is Rs. 5,000 more than the current model.

Visually, the Speed 400 retains the same design and body panels as before. However, it is now offered in four colour schemes – Racing Yellow, Pearl Metallic White, Racing Red and Phantom Black. Another change is the new seat, which is now 10mm thicker than before. It continues to get switchable traction control and ride-by-wire. However, one change is that the motorcycle now comes with 5-stage adjustable clutch and brake levers.

Talking about other parts, the Speed 400 gets 43mm large-piston USD front forks with 140mm travel, a mono-shock at the rear and lightweight 17-inch wheels. For braking, the motorcycle still gets a four-piston radial front brake with a 300mm front disc and a 230mm disc at the rear. The motorcycle also gets dual-channel ABS. However, now the bike comes with a 110/80 front tyre and a 150/70 rear tyre.
The Speed 400 continues to get the same 398cc TR-series engine as before. The motor produces 39.5 bhp of power at 8,000 rpm while peak torque is 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox that gets a torque-assist clutch.
