Mechanically, Tata has not made any changes to the Punch, the micro-SUV is still offered with 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol and 1.2-litre CNG engine options. In petrol, the SUV makes 86.5 bhp of power and 115 Nm of torque and is offered with a 5-speed manual or an AMT. The CNG Punch produces the same power and torque in petrol mode and a lower 72.5 bhp and 103 Nm of torque in CNG mode. It gets a 5-speed manual gearbox.
The updated Punch will compete with cars like the Hyundai Xcent and the Maruti Suzuki Ignis in the market.
