The huge number of opening day bookings shows the growing demand for a large premium MPV, as the previous generation Carnival was discontinued a year ago.

“This is a proud moment for us, the new Carnival has set new standards. We are confident that the Carnival Limousine will redefine this segment. With its distinctive design, great features and segment-first technologies, the Carnival is pushing the industry standards,” said Junsu Cho, Chief Sales Officer, Kia India.

The new Carnival gets a more muscular and boxy design than its predecessor and follows Kia’s new design language, shared with some of the brand’s new EVs. The MPV is being offered in the Indian market in two variants – Limousine and Limousine Plus, with prices likely to start at Rs. 40 lakh (ex-showroom).

The MPV is pretty well kitted out with the Limousine trim packing in kit such as twin 12.3-inch displays on the dashboard, Level 2 ADAS tech, power sliding rear doors, 3-zone climate control and heated and ventilated front seats with electric adjust. The Limousine Plus gets powered captain seats in the second row with heating and ventilation, a 12-speaker Bose audio system and even a head-up display.
